The 300M pays homage to the great 'letter cars' from Chrysler of the 1950s and 1960s. Cars like the 300C and 300G were amazing luxury sedans which also had huge power, and the 300M replicates those, while providing unsurpassed ride quality. More of a sports sedan than cruiser, the M had handling package option designed for it, which meant its cornering ability was higher than any of its competitors'; up to 0.83 lateral g in fact. As it was destined to be sold internationally, the design used typical 'cab-forward' styling which meant interior space was excellent; the other effect was to push the wheel out to each corner, which aided handling. The suspension was struts all around, which further enhanced the driver appeal. The original letter cars had a Hemi engine and the new one at least used the same design of engine internally, but with two cylinders less.
