With the arrival of the 'Fox' Mustang in 1979, Ford had built themselves a winner and sold over a million cars up to 1993. Because of sheer amount of 197!)-1993 cars, a massive aftermarket worth billions of dollars was established, and modifications go from the likes of a high-flow air filter to blown 700bhp (P22kW) road cars which can cover the quarter-mile in under 10 seconds. This particular car is a wild road machine, fitted with fender extensions to fit the 10 inch (254mm) and 13-inch (330mm) wide wheels, a new nose section, huge rear wing to aid downforce and some good engine mods to boost the powerful V8. A larger throttle body to allow more air in, plus a high lift camshaft and free-flow exhaust help this car to run in 13.4 seconds on the quarter-mile. Saleen Racecraft suspension has been fitted also, both lowering and uprating the handling.
