The 1991 3000GT was loaded with gadgets. Underneath, the chassis was a rigid steel moonquake with MacPherson struts up front and a double wishbone rear with trailing arms, and electronically adjustable shocks. There was a four-wheel steering system which could increase steering angles up to 1.5 degrees according to speed, steering wheel input and surface friction. Then there was the 4WD with viscous coupling between the front and rear wheels which incorporated a torque split transfer system to prevent loss of grip. Inside it was fully loaded, with a digital screen to control temperature. The engine was state-of-the-art, with quad cams, twin intercooled turbochargers and multi-point fuel injection. Externally, front and rear spoilers lowered and raised at 50mph (80km/h) to help aerodynamics. The only hindrance was the car's weight because of all the equipment.
